“Main Street” is the most enduring image of American commerce and community. The Mixed-Use Town Center will be the “Main Street” for Summit Crossing, and features a lively pedestrian environment with retail shops and restaurants on the ground floor and workforce housing on the upper floors.

Tree-lined sidewalks accommodate café seating and shopping, and are also wide enough for Segways. Such features as ornamental street lights, benches, and street trees in tree grates maximize public space and give the Town Center its identity. The main street leads to the pedestrian-friendly plaza that will be a gathering place for the community. With WiFi Internet service available throughout Summit Crossing, residents and visitors can stay connected to friends and work associates.

The Summit Center, a new visual and performing Arts Center, located at the Federal Corporate Campus is a world-class facility devoted to the advancement of art, music, dance and drama. Offering classroom and meeting spaces as well as a 1500 seat state-of-the-art auditorium, the center provides a venue for children and adult educational programs, community events, business and commercial conferences, and artists of a regional, national, and global scope.

The Village Center acts as the social heart of the Village. Shopping, jobs, and community services within convenient walking distance allow residents to meet some of their daily needs without driving. The village green is well defined by buildings along the perimeter, with a proffered library as its prominent feature, and an open lawn to accommodate multiple functions.
