Summit Crossing

We live here, too

For 20 years, the work of the Tricord Companies has been focused on the Fredericksburg region. We have committed ourselves to this region because we live and work here. We have invested our business and our lives in this community.

An example of Tricord's commitment to our community is our work to preserve historic Civil War battlefields. More than 130 acres of land that was the site of the First Day of Battle at Chancellorsville was conveyed to the Civil War Preservation Trust and additional land was donated to Spotsylvania County for the Battlefield Visitor Center. Tricord was also instrumental in CWPT's recent acquisition of the 200 acre "Slaughter Pen" battlefield. In recognition of these efforts, Tricord received both the 2006 Central Virginia Battlefield Trust Preservation Award and the 2006 Civil War Preservation Trust Legacy Award.

Tricord is known for giving back to our community through donations of private school sites, church sites, and park land. Our employees and contractors have roots here and are active in meeting the needs of our neighbors through local charities.

Just as Tricord has taken great care to protect our past, we're also working to protect our future. Our Summit Crossing project will be another asset to the community that will "bring the jobs home" and provide economic growth, higher-paying jobs, school and library sites, and workforce housing with a design to maximize alternative transit options.
